How best to soak up the stunning scenery along the River Nidd. Pay a visit to Marigold Boating and take one of our boats out for a paddle!
Prices – per person for one hour – max of 4 people per boa
(Please note that during periods of wet weather the river may rise to levels unsafe for boating – under these unlikely circumstances every effort will be made to contact customers with bookings to reschedule. Alternatively a refund will be issued)
THE DRILL – For Online Bookings
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your allocated time slot – if you are late we can not extend your time on the river
- There is no need to queue – please go to the lectern at the main entrance to the Marigold Cafe – ensure you have your booking confirmation and present this to a member of staff on the gate. You will then be placed in the hands of our boating team
- Any person hiring a boat from the landing does so at their own risk
- Passengers must not alight or enter at points other than the landing stage
- Persons wishing to change seats must return to the landing
- Minimum of 2 people per boat
- No unaccompanied persons under 16 years
- No alcohol permitted on the boats. No persons under the influence of alcohol are allowed on the boats
- All children and non-swimmers are advised to wear a life-jacket
- Management reserves the right to refuse admission without explanation
- Management reserves the right to request a deposit
Our boats are open from mid March to the end of October half term. If there is rain forecast we recommend you pack a raincoat.

Refund Policy
- More than 48 hours before your booking – We will gladly re schedule your booking or process a full refund less £5 admin fee
- Less than 48 hours before your booking – We will gladly re schedule your booking but no refund is available as we could have made this slot available to other customers
- If we are forced to close due to unsafe river conditions – We will gladly reschedule your booking of a full refund will be issued
