Our boats are open from mid March to the end of October half term.
What time does the boat hire close?
The last boat is around 3:30pm – 4:00pm. However, it does vary so if you are coming later in the afternoon please phone us for the time of the last boat. It also varies depending on the river levels. If the river is too high or fast then the boating will be closed. So it is always best to call.
Is there an age restrictions for hiring a boat?
There is no unaccompanied persons under the age of 16 years. If you are under 16 years old then you must be accompanied by an adult.
Can I drink alcohol on the boat?
No alcohol is permitted on the boats. No persons under the influence of alcohol are allowed on the boats.
Can i bring my dog along?
You are welcome to take your dog out on a boat, however it is at your own risk.
What happens if the weather is really bad or the river is flooded?
If the weather is really bad then boating may not be available. Please be aware though that on a day to day basis this will depend on what the weather has been up to and if there is an impact on river levels, after a lot of rain the river can be too high and fast to allow us to operate safely. So please call us to make sure especially if you are travelling long distances.
Is it possible to book the boats prior?
At the moment it is not possible to book. So, it is just first come first served.
Can I go on the boats by myself?
Unfortunately, you are unable to hire a boat by yourself. There is a minimum of 2 people per boat.
Do I need to wear a life jacket?
Life jackets are available upon request. All children and non-swimmers are advised to wear a life-jacket.
How long are we allowed on the boats?
Your allotted time on the boats is 1 hour. If you are longer than 1 hour we have the right to charge you for the time you have been out on the river.
